Ice Fishing Checklist

Fishing License

Ice fishing shack (there are some really nice Pop-up style shacks.)

Two Ice Fishing Rods (One with 6 pound test ice line, and one with 4 pound test line.)

Bait (Maggots, minnows, smelts, etc.)

Two chairs (Folding, so don’t take so much room.)

Tackle

Ice Scoop

Power Ice Auger

Bucket (For all your fishing, or a extra seat.)

Pliers (Long needle nose are best.)

Mouth spreader (For when land the really big one!)

Something to drink (Stay hydrated.)

Food (Sandwiches, bananas.)

Snacks (Nuts, fruit, chocolate bars.)

Communication device (Cell phones, two-way radio’s.)

Matches/lighter (Long bar-b-que are the best.)

Extra change of clothes (In case you fall in the lake.)

Filleting knife

Secondary Items

Camera(Aqua-Vu, Marcum.)

Heater (Propane)

Flasher depth finder

A GPS (Garmin.)

Hand warmers

Sled to drag your equipment over the ice with

Sunglasses (Polarized, Spy Optics, Revo.)

Ice chipper

Flashlight/Lantern
