Trout Weather.

I remember back in the day, I could not wait to go trout fishing. To me it was go hard or go home. The weather did not matter, rain or shine. Warmer weather always made for a more enjoyable trout fishing trip.

Sometimes can it be to hot? Did you know if we have a long duration of hot weather and low water conditions, compounded by moderate to heavy fishing pressure can be to much stress for trout and result in higher mortality rates in trout, even with catch and release situations.

Trout are like us, they need oxygen to breathe in order to live. In most rivers and streams there os some type of turbulence. When it gets hot outside, around 22 C or hotter, the oxygen is the water can be stolen from the water. The hottest time of the day usually is between 2 and 4 p.m. So please be aware of time and temperature in your area.
